Mission Statement
SHDHS produces educated, disciplined, and
well-rounded men and women of strong character and integrity, who are prepared
to meet the challenges of the future as active Catholic leaders, who value human
life, and who are dedicated to family and to living a life in service of
others.
Founded in 1933, SHDHS is the Diocese of Covington’s largest co-ed Catholic high
school. SHDHS is a district high school serving the following parish grade
schools: Immaculate Heart of Mary, St. Paul (St. Timothy and St. Paul parishes),
Mary Queen of Heaven, St. Henry (St. Barbara and St. Henry parishes), and St.
Joseph Academy (All Saints Parish). These grade schools and parishes are our
SHDHS family.
SHDHS’ five pillars of success are faith, scholarship, athletics, arts, and
leadership. In each of these areas, SHDHS students rank among the highest
achievers in Northern Kentucky. SHDHS offers a warm family atmosphere and
focuses on meeting the individual needs of every student. At the same time,
SHDHS has successfully incorporated many activities and opportunities
traditionally available at only larger schools. Our Catholic faith is the
common thread uniting every thing we do, and is part of daily student life at SHDHS.
