Career Day
The next SHDHS Career Day will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 7:45-1:00. All of our students participate in Career Day and choose the topics of interest to them. Volunteers usuallly talk to students in a classroom setting for 30 minutes. We are always open to new topics and speakers in order to offer a wide variety of choices.
Each year we have approximately 45 volunteers visit on Career Day giving insight into the educational requirements, salary expectations, working environment, necessary skills to acquire, related jobs in the field, job outlook for the future, pros and cons of the career, and how a student can prepare for the career.
